Green Moving

Intelligent Labor and Moving (ILAM) is happy to introduce Carlisle to our Green Moving services. Green Moving is both forward thinking and environmentally friendly. Our Green Moving Service features our Electric Moving Truck, something that no other company has. We utilize plastic free methods, using reusable packing materials unless you would prefer we use plastic.

We use European furniture covers which are reusable & washable materials that not only reduce waste, but also reduces the cost of moving. Innovating a step further, we sew our own heavy duty straps securely to furniture covers and padding to present the most effectively protective and low-cost moving materials that can be offered.

We use big rubber bands (instead of plastic) to help secure reusable and washable covers on hard furniture whenever possible. They are reusable and also are much better for the environment over plastic use. The level of protection and cleanliness that using blankets and rubber bands provides over the use of plastic wrap is clear, even before considering the reduced cost to your move and reduced environmental impact.

Our Green Moving Warehouse is topped with 2 solar installs and our office is heated and cooled with an all electric mini-split heat pump (electrically powered with optimal control). We also have 3 level 2 EVSE vehicle chargers for charging our electric company car and electric moving trucks. Our forklifts are also electric and therefore charged off of our rooftop solar.

At ILAM we think creatively to reduce the waste we accumulate. We selectively purchase and tailor the best materials we can that are reusable. We remain committed to recycling all items that can be recycled. You can read about the details of how we implement these practices on our Recycling page.
