Early start times
From August 27th – September 2nd we depart for our first move of the day at 7:30am, and then book subsequent jobs as 2nd, and 3rd slots. We don’t provide specific start times for the 2nd and 3rd jobs but we do communicate with all of our customers as they day goes to update expectations and make sure everything gets done. We start so early for a couple of reasons. These are incredibly busy days for moving around the Boston area, and departing at 7:30am affords us a couple of hours of work before all of the rental trucks hit the road and some time in elevators and stairways before all of the non-professionals start their moves.
Book far in advance
These days also book up well in advance, usually the 1st slots on the 31st and 1st are already booked by the time August 1st rolls around. We recommend being well prepared and booking early.
Parking permits are required
These are such busy days and our crews are often servicing other customers after yourself. We ask that all customers get parking permits if they plan on using on-street parking and their towns off it. These are busy days and there are many other moving companies and individuals out there taking up all the available parking. We also want to be able to finish in a predictable amount of time to save you money, but also get to other customers who may be waiting. We appreciate your cooperation and look forward to working with you. Check out our Parking Permits page for more info.
